My Story

I've joined The Grand Run - to help support critically ill and sick children across our region being looked after at Bristol Children's Hospital.
I have from Sunday 27 September to Friday 27th November to complete my chosen distance.

My daughter Lily has been in the Bristol Royal Children's Hospital since July, receiving superb care, support and encouragement. She is making excellent progress because of her determination and the expertise of all of the staff.  My wife and I have been staying in Paul's House which is run by the Grand Appeal. We couldn't have managed without them and the support they have provided. 

Throughout lockdown, The Grand Appeal has continued to provide services to support the staff, families and patients navigating the coronavirus pandemic. These crucial services have included the operation of three family accommodation facilities - to keep parents close to their children in hospital, and providing the funding for ground-breaking research into a coronavirus vaccine.

Please support me as I take on The Grand Run for the critically ill and sick children across our region that still need our continued support despite this pandemic.
